Austate Services is a family-owned business with over 30 years of experience in the manufacturing and fabrication of high-quality road transport equipment. We specialise in the custom manufacture of Truck Bodies and Trailers and in the repair and restoration of heavy vehicles in addition to Sales and Servicing. Our trailers are manufactured from raw steel for use on road highways

We have full-time roles available for Welders/Fabricators who will provide metal trade skills and competencies associated with construction and maintenance requirements of Austate Services. The position will operate from within the workshop and assist with the manufacture and repairs of truck bodies and trailers.

Key Skills:

* Trade Certificate (111 or higher) is desirable

* Experience in metal construction, fabrication or maintenance

* TIG/MIG welding skills and experience

* Sheetmetal Cutting experience

* Good planning and organisational skills

* Ability to read shop drawings

* Speak and understand fluent English

Key Activities (but not limited to):

Undertake aluminium & metal trade construction, fabrication & maintenance

Upkeep of metal trades workshop area and associated tools and equipment

Maintain equipment & machinery to a safe and good working condition

Compliance to all OHS requirements

Adherence to company quality standards

Workshop hours are 7.00am - 3.00pm 

Overtime available - overseas applicants need not apply

We are located in the easily accessible suburb of Minto which is a 20-minute walk from the nearest train station. We are 3 minutes away off the Hume Highway.
