Position:  Weekend and Swing Announcer, 95.9 Virgin Radio Montreal, Bell Media

Location: Bell Media Radio – Montréal, QC

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Hours of Work: 35 hours per week.  Saturdays 1pm-7pm, Sundays 12pm-6pm, replacement shifts, remotes and public appearances

Responsibilities:   

• Prepare and deliver a focused and interactive on-air show
• Update social media channels on a regular basis
• Voice track in and out of market, as required
• Commercial voicing and other related production, for use in and out of market, on radio and CTV
• Comply with the station music and commercial logs
• Remote broadcasts and station appearances and occasional community appearances, as required
• Attend meetings as required
• Develop and maintain strong local & community awareness

Qualifications:

• Education in broadcasting and/or a minimum relevant on-air experience
• Working knowledge of Wide Orbit Automation system and VoxPro an asset
• Social networking skills (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, SMS, web knowledge) are a MUST!
• Dynamic, creative and innovative; love creating original content
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detail oriented and a team player

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
