Ionic Watercare Ltd is a successful, privately owned and operated water treatment company based in Christchurch. We manufacture water treatment chemicals and provide water testing and water treatment solutions for closed systems, boilers & cooling towers in the industrial & commercial environment.

The Role

We are seeking to appoint a Water Treatment Service Technician to undertake outbound technical support and servicing of our client’s high value assets. This specialised role requires the successful applicant to have an ability to relate well to our client onsite contacts, while ensuring accuracy and consistency in their testing, reporting and overall approach to the job. 

This is a key role in our business and requires an independent, self-motivated individual who can handle a wide variety of tasks, both on client sites and in the office, is able to work closely with the other field technicians to ensure our clients continue receiving market leading service. 

About You

Ideally, the successful applicant will: -

• Already be working in the industry or have a background as a boilermaker, engineering or another water-related role,
• Be able to show a strong mechanical aptitude,
• Having some chemical knowledge would be helpful,
• Be physically fit - as some manual lifting is required,
• Have good attention to detail,
• Have sound written and computer skills,
• Have strong interpersonal skills,
• Be honest, reliable, conscientious, and a strong team member, 
• Have enthusiasm, energy, and a driven outlook.
