Job Description
Position Objectives
- Lead Insurance product team and act as key enabler to drive revenue the following products
- Life Insurance
- Credit Insurance
- Accident & Health (A&H) and General Insurance products offered through telemarketing, CBOL, MBOL channels
- Drive and Achieve Zurich partnership goals and Insurance revenue targets
- Drive and facilitate Relationship Management/Sales teams with training, joint calls product updates, product positioning clinics from time to time
- Increase volume/revenue contribution and insurance penetration in all customer segments to meet financial plan
- Develop/Implement strategies and product proposition for all insurance products across customer segments
- Constantly review and implement necessary controls to ensure good quality sales and to maintain compliance to regional policies and local regulation on insurance
- Manage existing Insurance portfolio to ensure persistency levels in line with set benchmarks, insurance clawback reserve provisioning is adequate
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to investigate customer complaints and find amicable resolution for complaints
- Be the manager solely accountable for the above including any other matter related to Insurance in UAE
Responsibilities:
Product Management
- Launch new insurance products & increase revenue contribution of all insurance products. Maintain a healthy product mix based on customer needs and market trends.
- Activate new sales channels especially digital channels to cross sell insurance
- Review to simplify sales/operations process for a scalable business.
- Manage and effectively influence relationships with internal stakeholders, maintain/manage partnership with third party insurance companies
- Ensure timely renewal of product programs, annual insurance company due diligence, renew deviations if any against regional insurance policies and guidelines, manage contracts with insurance partners
Business bookings management
- Monitor the daily bookings and issuance of policies
- Effectively manage local & partner operations team for efficiency and response.
- Maintain information and documents efficiently for easy referencing & updates including documentation & sales aids.
- Execute process enhancements which lead to faster & shorter TATs.
Events & Marketing/Promotions
- Drive micro marketing events across branches every quarter.
- Launch innovative sales contests and customer tactical for incremental sales
Business Tracking & Analytics
- Monitor premium overdue cases and potential clawback cases on monthly basis. Monitor trends to identify any sales patterns.
- Lead Insurance Product team to publish competition scan on insurance products on periodic basis
- Monitor trends to identify sales patterns.
- Lead insurance product team who oversees status on commission reconciliation and commission statement liquidation process
- Track sales trends, revenue contribution, penetration levels, cross sell and attrition.
- Effective product targeting and cross sell for all customer segments
- Production monitoring and MI reporting to local stakeholders and regional team as required
Compliance / Audit:
- Effectively address audit and compliance related queries for all insurance products and achieve satisfactory outcome
Other Responsibilities
- Sales support, joint calls & product training across Branches & Financial Centers.
- Liaise with Marketing Services to develop efficient & effective customer communication and micro marketing events.
- Develop customer insights to strengthen marketing & sales efforts and product communication.
- Lead a data driven approach to identify trends, customer propensity modelling for higher sales productivity.
Critical Skills/experience required
- Product/Sales experience in Life Insurance, credit, general insurance in UAE market for at least 10 years
- Sound knowledge of insurance markets, investment products, products and concepts
- Good analytical ability and practical creativity
- Above average communication and inter-personal skills
- End-to-end business perspective
- Basic understanding of credit cards products
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the product management / sales of Insurance products in the UAE
- Very good communication and inter-personal skills
- Ability to operate in matrix organizations structure and drive cross-functional teams
- Versatile to find the right balance being an enabler of sales initiatives/support to sales teams and have zero tolerance on sales suitability lapses, governance issues
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred in business/ finance/ marketing.
