What is the opportunity?
We’re looking for a UX Writer for Mydoh. This individual will play a critical role in shaping the experiences parents and children have with our mobile app and other channels through strategic copy and content. They will work closely with the entire product team to move the venture forward, and heavily collaborate with designers, developers, customer success managers, and marketers. We’re looking for someone who takes a human-centric approach to their work and understands how to optimize the user experience for different mindsets and personas. The ideal candidate will actively support research and testing for effective copy, and partner with brand, marketing and product team members to apply a content strategy lens to the app and other channels. This is a new position so we’re looking for someone who can kickstart the ideal standards, tools, and processes for UX Writing for Mydoh and the Strategic Design practice.
What will you do?
- Work with the Mydoh design team to improve the end-to-end experience of our mobile app and other channels using content that is consistent, informative, and meaningful for our users
- Create clear, succinct, and human-centric copy that balances our business goals and user needs, elevating our brand voice wherever possible
- Build and maintain effective UX writing standards and patterns that align with Mydoh’s brand standards and integrate into our product design system
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including (but not limited to) Legal, Privacy, Compliance, Information Security, and Regulatory teams, to ensure digital copy and content satisfies our legal and regulatory requirements
- Apply the principles of Accessibility and Inclusive Design in content creation
- Support the team in collecting and applying qualitative and quantitative insights to inform copy and content decisions
- Create and/or oversee the application of French translations
- Work within our agile team structure to provide quality deliverables that align with our sprint cycles

Must Haves:
- 3+ years of UX writing experience or a similar role
- A portfolio that showcases your work across a variety of channels including web and mobile applications
- Knowledge and/or hands-on experience working in rapid product development and an agile environment
- Fluency in English
- Strong understanding of how to apply copy and/or content design to the customer lifecycle (acquisition, consideration, conversion, use, retention, advocacy)
- Undergraduate degree in Literature/English, Psychology, Design, Linguistics, Journalism, HCI, or a related field and/or equivalent experience
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience in Banking or Financial Services
- Experience in digital experiences for children and/or gaming experiences
- Fluency in French
- A strong understanding of Accessibility and Inclusive Design practices
- Experience with conducting and/or applying research and testing with copy and content
