Must haves:

·       Bachelor’s degree ( any of Psychology, Human Factors, Anthropology, Sociology, Information Studies, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Industrial Design, Computer Science) or comparable work experience

·        

·       Ã‚·        7+ years’ experience leading UX research efforts for responsive websites, web applications and native apps

·        

·       Ã‚·        Experienced with variety of design research methods

·        

·       Ã‚·        Technically proficient with UX research theory, techniques and tools

·        

·       Ã‚·        Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate with clients and team members at all levels

·        

·       Ã‚·        Solid background in UX design

·       Ã‚·        Experience working within a large organization and within an Agile environment is preferred

Description

Assignment Type: This position is currently WFH due to COVID-19 related WFH direction. Once OH staff are required to return to the office, the resource under this request will be required to work onsite as well.

 Deliverables include, but are not limited to:

·        Acting as the voice of the client, work with the teams to ideate and conceptualize innovative UI solutions to solve complex health care challenges

·        Produce personas, customer journey maps and other research artifacts

·        Create UX research plans and suggest appropriate research methodologies

·        Manage participant recruitment and scheduling and lead research activities and fieldwork

·        Deliver ongoing, prioritized insights

·        Design UI wireframes and prototypes, as required.

Responsibilities:

·        Work with users, product management and lines of business to gather and analyze customer requirements and translate them into engaging and effective experiences

·        Create UX research plans and suggest appropriate research methodologies

·        Produce user personas and customer journey maps, wireframes and prototypes

·        Lead research activities, manage recruitment and facilitate research activities

·        Analyze feedback and report prioritized insights to project teams and stakeholders

·        Work closely with UX lead(s) and other product team members

·        Assist UX lead(s) in performing expert reviews and AODA compliance audits

·        Perform other duties as assigned by management

Desired Skills:

·        Experience working as a UX/UI designer across responsive websites, web applications and mobile apps

·        Experience with Adobe XD and other Adobe Creative Suite software

·        Expert knowledge of user experience principles and techniques

·        Experience in usability testing for accessibility compliance (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, Level AA)

·        Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 and/or JavaScript other relevant front-end technologies

·        Understanding of current and emerging technologies, design patterns, industry trends and standards, devices

• Comfortable working within tight timeframes and with working creatively within specific constraints.
