Programmed Training Services specialise in the employment of Apprentices and Trainees with our clients and the design and delivery of nationally accredited training. As a leading provider of staffing and training services, Programmed employ more than 1,500 apprentices and trainees each year in various industries.

Our Group Training Organisation (GTO) is currently seeking a Training Coordinator to join our team in Gladstone. This role will suit an individual who is a well organised people-person, self-starter who is passionate about providing quality training programs for young people. 

As a Training Coordinator, your role will include:

  • Fostering and maintaining effective relationships with Energy companies, schools and VET Coordinators
  • Development and maintenance of relationships with key client stakeholders, apprentices, training providers
  • Deliver awareness sessions to school students and community groups about the opportunities on offer
  • Management of training and safety culture to produce highly skilled and motivated operators and trades people
  • Coordinate events, information sessions and attendance at career expos to promote program awareness
  • Coordinate recruitment and selection activities, induction and on-boarding processes
  • Provide ongoing mentoring and support to employees to ensure successful completion of qualification
  • Liaising with Registered Training Organisations to coordinate off-the-job training components

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience in the training or development sector is favourable
  • Excellent communication skills – oral and written
  • Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrate an understanding of safety and a commitment to upholding safety standards
  • Proactive approach to finding solutions
  • Ability to be a dynamic team player and contributor
  • Ability to build and develop strong relationships with various stakeholders at different levels
  • Drive, self-motivation and enthusiasm for the role
