This role is an opportunity for a highly-motivated individual who has experience in providing ticketing services for events and delivering superior customer service. 

Role snapshot

The Ticketing Officer is a member of the Marketing team which works to steer and guard Queensland’s Theatre brand assets and positioning as well as to optimise support and patronage for Queensland Theatre productions through the delivery of compelling marketing and sales campaigns, content and facilitation of digital experiences.

The Ticketing Officer plays an important front-line role in sales, ticketing and stakeholder engagement activities and is expected to:-

  1. work with and support the Ticketing Supervisor to respond to and process ticketing requests and requirements for internal and external stakeholders;
  2. provide exemplary customer service to patrons and stakeholders to positively impact and nurture relationships, engagement and ongoing support of Queensland Theatre;
  3. maintain knowledge of ticketing and box office policies and procedures; and
  4. demonstrate strong attention to detail, time management skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritise workloads.

Who we are looking for

To be successful in this role, you will have:-

  1. Minimum of three years’ experience in a ticketing role (utilising Tessitura and/or Enta).
  2. Experience in a customer service/receptionist role with strong administration skills and the ability to identify customer needs and develop positive relationships with stakeholders.
  3. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate information to relevant internal and external stakeholders in a variety of forms about Queensland Theatre operations and ticketing services/activities.
  4. Strong organisation skills with the ability to juggle competing priorities and deadlines while maintaining a flexible approach.
  5. Ability to analyse and interpret data and identify trends and gaps.
  6. Ability to work effectively as a team player (ie collaborate) as well as independently to achieve results.

The is a term contract on a part-time basis (four days per week) for 12 months with the opportunity to extend for further terms subject to satisfactory performance in the role. The position may require some out-of-hours work inherent in the arts to fulfill the requirements of the role.
