What do you need to succeed?

Required Skills:

  • Understanding of Test environment needs, support environmental setup, DevOps.
  • Be QA Environment Owner – define the role/responsibilities of the “owner” of the GC QA environments.
  • Orchestration – identify all processes that move data or interact with the systems in some way (batch jobs, ETL’s, API’s, etc).  Define a way for QA staff to manage these jobs (eg, a way to run the jobs on an adhoc basis).
  • Environment Assignment Management – define a way to manage the use of QA environments (eg, a way to identify who is using what environment, and for what purpose).
  • Extensive experience in Release and Env management.
  • Hands on experience in creating environment plans, deployment needs and support functions.
  • Act as a key point of contact for all QA related matters, provide QA services and coordinate work for QA analysts both local and remote.
  •  Strong communication and collaboration with diff stakeholders.
  • Define QA Best Practices  to deliver the project.
  • Solid knowledge of JIRA and Confluence collaboration tools. 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and within a team.  
  • Expert knowledge of Software Development Release Cycles and Defect Management. 
  • Proficient in designing test strategies and coordinate work efforts on multiple projects. 
  • Provide technical and non-technical guidance to QA analysts on existing and next-generation QA activities.  
  • Create time estimates for QA testing activities. 
  • Contribute to an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Work towards improvement of formal QA processes, ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices.  

 

Nice to have:

  • Experience in migration/ conversion programs with expertise in  multi integration and regulatory third party integrated environments for test.
