Your new company

Our client is the national arts development agency of Aotearoa. Their strategic direction is focused on delivering long-term value to New Zealanders through our support for the arts.

Their work is structured around investment categories which represent the major programmes they run and their deliverable areas of investing in the arts, developing the arts, advocating for the arts and leadership in the arts.

Your new role

This role supports the organisation's grants management processes by providing exceptional client service and providing accurate and timely coordination of grant applications from pre application advice to grant acquittal including feedback to applicants for all relevant grant categories including Arts Grants, special opportunities for artists, awards, international and capability and some aspects of the Creative Communities scheme.

Skills and Competencies

• An exceptional communicator, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients and applicants by phone, zoom/teams and email.
• A person with proven proficiency in using a grants management system or other complex data management system.
• Someone with experience gained across one or more arts practice areas – for this appointment it is likely the successful candidate will hold responsibility for the literature portfolio so some knowledge and experience of this practice would be beneficial.
• A base knowledge and/or appreciation for Tikanga and Te Reo Māori.
