An Accounting Clerk position is available through Robert Half, whose duties will be matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a long-term contract / temporary employment based in the Langley, British Columbia area. Your responsibilities in this role

- Overall accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

- Contribute to Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance

- Resolve discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required

- Produce statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources

- Codify documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes

- Submit financial figures to journals and ledgers

- Aid Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing

- AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field

- Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required

- Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds

- Familiar with Spreadsheet and ERP system

- Numeric data entry experience preferred

- Deep understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)

- Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)

- Account reconciliation experience

- Accounts Payable (AP) experience required
