The Role

Working as a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for assisting in the governance of our IT Architecture and delivering the required improvements/solutions and change to the business and the delivery team. Rarely working on the same thing twice, you will be a valued member of the IT Team.

In this role you’ll:

• Maintain current state documentation
• Document solutions to hand over to the projects/operations team to implement/maintain
• Analyse the current architecture to identify areas of improvement
• Maintain and promote the architect guidance
• Contribute to business case development of new solutions being proposed to the business alongside the team of Business Partners, Project Managers and BA’s.
• Work alongside an internal architecture team to ensure structure and governance is applied throughout all architecture being produced and maintained
  
  

Skills you’ll bring

• A background in solution architecture
• Technical knowledge and experience in documenting and planning technical solutions that are then handed over to an engineering team to implement
• Experience in strategy and commercial business case development
• Knowledge in application integration techniques and technologies
• Experience with cloud-based hosting and deployment, especially within Azure
• Experience with transforming applications into SaaS or using Azure cloud-native components
• Strong negotiation and relationship building skills
