Position Description:

The Technical Sales Director, Eastern Canada builds, leads and manages the account architect teams and the networking solutions specialist team for the Eastern Canada region, including all segments of the business market.  The teams are tasked with develop technical architecture and solutions including RFI / RFP responses, technical roadmaps, client proposals for clients in the Ottawa, Quebec and Atlantic regions.   The Technical Sales Director has an excellent understanding of network industry products, architectural design principals and operational support models.

 

Job Duties/ Accountabilities:

  • Build, lead and manage a team of accomplished technical professionals performing engineering duties including design, risk analysis and documentation
  • Foster a culture that inspires high levels of performance and employee retention
  • Owns the architectural vision, design practices ,detailed engineering for all client proposals and interfaces with various internal groups for any engineering related  issues
  • Effectively partner with other cross-functional teams including, Product, Operations, Service Delivery and other members of the executive team to achieve company goals
  • Set annual goals and pro-actively analyze metrics to drive productivity and process improvements within the technical team.
  • Maintain strong communications  to the executive team and directors
  • Contribute insight and feedback to improve product strategies and features

 

Critical Qualifications/Competencies:      

  • 10+ years of experience in Enterprise technical sales, management roles
  • Posses an excellent understanding of telecommunications technologies and service offerings within the B2B enterprise environment
  • Visionary, able to build, align, coach and engage top-performing and diversified teams and be a recognized  leader in stakeholder engagement towards reaching business objectives
  • Ability to foster innovation and drive change
  • Combination of technical and strong business/financial acumen
  • Experience selling at the C-Level
  • Demonstrated ability to work with peers and cross-functional teams to meet client expectations
