EY is the only professional services firm with a separate business unit (“FSO”) that is dedicated to the financial services marketplace. Our FSO teams have been at the forefront of every event that has reshaped and redefined the financial services industry. We are looking for Technology Business Analysts, who have experience working in Financial Services, to join our FSO Data and Analytics team in either Sydney or Melbourne. 

 

Responsibilities

 

Define and execute scripts to support data analysis and reconciliation using SQL

Process data for assurance readiness using Python

Data Quality and profiling 

Analysing metadata for unstructured data.

Working with unstructured data stored in systems or on collaboration platforms (SharePoint etc.).

Working with multiple BI and database technologies will be beneficial.

Collaborate across various internal teams to stay aligned on program updates.

Work closely with the data assurance platform team leads to implement and execute data assurance rules.

Data migration and data reconciliation 

Data Reconciliation approaches for structured and unstructured data, requirements and execution, including but not limited to:

Defining and executing data reconciliation rules.

Producing and verifying data reconciliation reports. 

Experience in defining, reviewing and validating data extract requirements.

Analysing root cause of reconciliation issues in conjunction with Technology.

Work with diverse stakeholders to identify their challenges with data that can be addressed using various Analysis techniques.

Experience

 

Experience working Financial Services (ideally Insurance, Wealth or Superannuation experience)

Strong Strong SQL and scripts (Python, Powershell etc) development experience are essential.

Execution of data validation, reconciliation and assurance attestation in the context of a divestment program.

Report on progress and issues of the technical development

Strong Business, Data analysis and Data wrangling to develop and execute scripts to support data analysis and reconciliation.

Creating requirements specifications, analysing requirements, creating visual models, facilitating workshop sessions, and using the necessary business analyst tools. 

Strong consulting experience and background, including engaging directly with clients.

An understanding of assurance concepts and processes will be beneficial.
