The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) provides national leadership to New Zealand's distributed emergency management system. MŠtēnei tūranga mahi | About this role
In this role you will be leading and managing a team responsible for the design, development and delivery of new training and assessments to support the professionalisation of the Emergency Management workforce. The role includes undertaking future needs analysis and developing a new training architecture that enables this incredibly diverse and busy workforce to engage in learning and development efficiently and effectively.
Your team will be working with a wide range of Emergency Management stakeholders, leveraging opportunities to accelerate product development and increase access to and uptake of training. They will also train NEMA staff, ensuring they are capable and confident when responding to an emergency.
The position sits with the System Capability Unit that is responsible for leading the identification, design and implementation of strategies that will build the capability, capacity and resilience of the emergency management system across New Zealand. This includes the importance of exercises to test current state, apply lessons learnt and assure readiness.

The salary band for this position is $131,987 to $155,279 including Kiwisaver employer contributions.
