About the Team

In the Families segment, we distribute Working for Families entitlements and paid parental leave, and we collect and distribute Child Support payments. We do the important job of providing the right entitlements or payments at the right time, with empathy for each family's situation.

Challenge your already established leadership skills and join us as a Team Lead within our Families team. You will be instrumental in managing and mentoring a trusted team who are passionate about the work that they do. You'll have the opportunity to work cohesively with your team and our other experienced and driven Team Leads to lead, coach and develop your people to provide quality services and better customer outcomes.

Role and Responsibilities

In this role you'll be supporting the Families segment by:

• Utilising your high level of digital literacy and well-developed ability to make quality decisions

• Making the most of your change management experience, having a strong people focus and ability to relate to and effectively lead a diverse range of people

• Demonstrating IR's values through your behaviours and decisions to positively contribute to the economic and social wellbeing of New Zealand

• Ensuring your people regularly work in an agile way across IR and use insights and intelligence gained to develop solutions for customers

• Balancing your team's time between delivering customer outcomes and individual growth and learning to ensure a positive employee experience

• Working with each of your people to ensure their development is proactively planned and well managed

Attributes

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• An understanding of Families customers base, our Segment Strategy and how the work done is designed to meet the overall CCS customer strategy

• Strong leadership skills including mentoring and coaching and a strong desire to learn and grow as a people leader

• The ability to effectively design, plan, manage and integrate change

• The ability to make effective decisions considering impacts and interdependencies

• To lead your people post Business Transformation into our new environment

This is an exciting opportunity to further develop your leadership skills in a changing environment, to influence a positive culture in your team that will progress your teams capabilities and skills.

You will need to be available to support your team across their working window.

The standard hours of work are up to 7 hours 35 minutes per day and 75 hours 50 minutes per fortnight, to be worked between 7.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday.
