Experience and Skill Set Requirements
QA Specialist: 3 roles
1. 10+ years’ experience with quality control and assurance methodologies and practices as applied to the implementation of applications with over 10,000 users
2. 10+ years progressive QA experience on COTS and / or SaaS based systems
3. 10+ years’ experience designing, developing, writing and executing test cases catering to large application implementations
4. 10+ years’ experience triaging, analyzing, diagnosing / troubleshooting, evaluating options, and resolving quality assurance problems, ideally those related to identity and access management systems
5. Extensive experience with testing web apps and working with HAR files
6. Experience testing RESTful API implementations by using tools such as Postman Databases and the SQL Language, JSON, XML, XSLT and XML schemas
7. EAI principles and technologies and data transformation techniques
8. Experience with Accessibility Ontario Disability Act (AODA) testing by using tools such as WAVE
9. Experience in analyzing test results and submitting detail bug descriptions using defect tracking tools such as Azure DevOps/VSTS
10. Experience with ITIL processes such as Service Level Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Release Management, and Capacity Management
11. Experience with testing tools, such as Azure DevOps / Visual Studio Team Server (VSTS)
12. Experience working with a large team comprising of the Product Owner, Project Manager, Business Analysts, and Systems Analysts to ensure QA deliverables timelines are achieved
13. Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication and negotiation skills
Evaluation Criteria
1. QA Expertise 50%
10+ years of experience providing QA support in a deadline-driven, application development and complex system integration environment
Advanced level knowledge of and experience with:
· The software development life cycle (SDLC)
· QA principles, practices, tools and structured methodologies
· QA management processes including defect management and tracking, and supporting defect investigation
· Creating testing strategy documentation, test plans, test cases and test data for various types and phases of testing, including technical and business functional validation i.e. system integration, user acceptance, regression, security, interface, end to end, sanity, error handling, transaction flow etc.
Requirements management/gap analysis, test scope definition, and experience developing and maintaining a requirements traceability matrix
Experience collaborating with developers, operations, security and privacy teams to identify requirements and strategies for testing new application features
Experience and knowledge in testing IAM solutions
An understanding of IAM technologies based on open standards such as OAuth, OIDC and SAML
2. General knowledge of and experience with: 35%
Customized/SaaS product testing
Experience of testing applications on varied platforms ( JAVA, .NET)
Extensive experience with testing web apps and working with HAR files
