The Bell Network team is on a journey to transform how Bell delivers the best customer experience with seamless access to a software-driven and cloud-based ecosystem of products, services and content. This transformation is about simplifying, virtualizing and automating the network transport and services to lower costs and increase agility to deploy Bell services.

 

At the heart of this transformation is the Network Cloud Infrastructure and Services team. Our vision: Be recognized by tenants as the simplest, most reliable and adaptable cloud. Nothing less! We are on a mission to enable the Bell Network team to virtualize and cloudify network services and applications by providing self-serve, on-demand, reliable and secure cloud services, while supporting them on their journey.

 

Our team is organized in product squads, leveraging the best of Lean manufacturing, Agile / Scrum framework and DevOps practices and tools. We are a powerful mix of infrastructure, networking, security, storage, cloud computing and software development experts who are supported by a crew of scrum masters and senior managers.

Key Responsibilities

As a System and Network Administrator for the Network Cloud Physical Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for the following:

Configure and onboard network equipment

Lead and monitor change management activities on production network

Support Network architect with new technology integration

Develop and standardize change management job instructions

Responsible for datacenter equipment inventory structure

Automate equipment population into the datacenter inventory tool

Support automation of repetitive manual activities, aiming for zero touch provisioning

Key Attributes for the position:

Knowledge of main routing protocols (BGP, IS-IS, OSFP)

Juniper switching

Cisco switching NCS platform

Python/Ansible

Network security sensitive

Autonomous and resourceful

Structured, problem solver

Jira, CI/CD, Grafana knowledge (Asset)

 

Qualifications / Competencies

Degree in Computer Science

3-4 years of technical and operation experience in network or IT

Strong time management skills and work ethic (highly motivated) to manage multiple accountabilities

Ability to build relationships and work effectively with internal players and vendors

Embrace change within the same team

Ability to write and edit documentation on technical subjects, and to make language clear, concise and accurate
