Job Description

To be successful in the role you must have:

  • Education: Bachelor in Engineering / MSc with Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Domain experience: Working experience in Packet Core either as Implementation engineer or Operational support engineer.

Additional Job Responsibilities:
 

  • Be responsible For 2nd level operation and maintenance (O&M) of customer PACO network elements (SGSN-MME/PGW/SGW/PCRF) and services.
  • Be Meeting or exceeding the network availability targets & responsibilities.
  • Ensure RCA for any fault within network systems.
  • Work within well-defined system support guidelines.
  • Prioritize faults to meet SLA/WLA.
  • Do end to end investigation of faults/cause related to system/network problems.
  • Ensure accurate working methodology.
  • Coordinate with all technical teams to handle emergencies and if required coordinate with other stakeholders (NFVi, Voice Core) and Tier2 support.
     

Basic Skills / Experience (Mandatory):
 

  • Clear understanding of EPC network elements with call flow clarity.
  • Understanding of DPI would be an advantage.
  • Configuration of any of the PACO Products SGSN-MME/PGW/SGW/PCRF.
  • Knowledge of different standards used for EPC technologies e.g. RFC,ETSI,IETF
  • Knowledge of signalling protocols used for EPC e.g. Diameter/GTPV2/SCTP/RTP/SIP
  • Customer handling experience.
  • Working experience for multiple products/solutions.
  • Problem Solving skills.

Additional Skills/ experiences (would be good to have):

  • Understanding of computing technologies:
  • Virtualization concept with knowledge of Openstack e.g. CEE(Ericsson),RHOS.
  • Concept on Cloud Containers, docker, Kubernetes
  • Linux capabilities, able to interpret shell(bash) scripts
  • Scripting skills e.g python (or perl)
  • Working experience in 5GC.
  • Working experience in VNF/CNF deployment.
