The Supervisor / Kaimahi is a member of a multi-disciplinary team who are responsible for the development and implementation of the therapeutic treatment programme.
Tai Aroha is an intensive specialist residential rehabilitation treatment programme targeting high risk community-based offenders (residents), who have multiple treatment needs related to violence. The overall objectives of the programme are to reduce participants' risk of serious reoffending and increase their capacity to live socially responsible and fulfilling lifestyles.
The programme aims to provide a culturally responsive rehabilitation experience in particular for MÄori participants by respecting and incorporating Tikanga MÄori and kaupapa MÄori concepts within and alongside Western based rehabilitation practices.
The purpose of the role is to support residents within the residential setting and during external activities.
