Job Description

Student Support Officer 

Sydney Institute of Interpreting and Translating (SIIT) is looking for a motivated individual to join our student Service team. This is a fast-paced role providing quality services to a range of stakeholders including students, education agents and internal members. 

Duties & responsibilities

  1. Processing of all applications;
  2. Reception of clients including students, agents and visitors;
  3. Referrals of enquiries to various departments or personnel;
  4. Updating of students records including attendance, academic progress and other information in student management system.
  5. Making appropriate referrals to other sections for further services including the issues concerning the attendance and academic progress of particular student;
  6. Assisting in marketing activities and special events if required;
  7. Other administrative duties if required;

To be successful in this position, candidate will possess:

  1. Bachelor degree or above;
  2. Fluent in four English language skills, understanding of another world language will be viewed as a bonus, but not a must;
  3. Competent or advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)
  4. Ability to meet challenging deadlines with great attention to details;
  5. Possessing qualities such as, being responsible, reliable and committed to student service and related tasks
  6. At least 3-year working experience in student services
