About the PGA of Australia:

The Professional Golfers Association of Australia is the peak professional body for golf in Australia. 

PGA Professionals play a vital role in the Australian Golf industry and in conjunction with our Members we aim to raise the level of interest and participation in the game from grass roots through to elite golfers, to fans, and industry bodies. Since its opening in 2005, the PGA Institute has been a leader in golf education. Our courses are developed in consultation with golf industry bodies, covering the best practice principles for the business and management of the golf industry. 

The PGA Institute offers education, combining business, golf training, and sport as well as practical golf skills to prepare students for a career in the golf industry. We assist learners who are interested in a career in golf, golf management, sport and business. We are passionate about golf and education. 

About the Role:

The PGA is seeking an experienced Student Support and Administration Coordinator who has experience and vocational skills in the coordination of administrative processes in relation to enrolments, student inquiries and student administration for both domestic and international students. 

The successful applicant will be responsible for administration support and assistance to all areas of the registered training organisation located on campus at our purpose build Learning Hub. 

Key responsibilities include:

Tasks and Responsibilities Administration

  • Receive and coordinate student applications and enrolments.
  • Monitor, support and coordinate enrolled students. 
  • Conduct general program administration including; support to the RTO Manager and PGA Program Specialist, maintaining records, responding to queries, providing administration support to students and organising student events.   

Student Management and Record Keeping

  • Enter and maintain student enrolment data in addition to collating and reporting results data as required. 
  • Enter accurate assessment outcome data in iMIS, the Fairway and VETtrak. 
  • Complete reporting via AVETMISS, NCVER, Quality Indicator Data and any other necessary reporting activities.

Compliance

  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of ASQA 2015 / NVR Standards and CRICOS 2018, ESOS Act plus other relevant government regulations relating to RTO’s. 
  • Develop and maintain compliant, efficient and effective RTO administration systems that support and improve the professional activities of the business.
  • Maintain all PGA IGI reporting systems including IMIS, VETtrak, PRISMS, NCVER, USI Registry System and Quality Indicators (ASQA).

Financial Performance

  • Contribute to the financial performance of the PGA IGI via accurate record keeping and adherence to processes.
  • Prepare and issue student invoices as necessary via consultation with the PGA Finance Team and follow up debt collection where necessary.
  • Prepare accurate financial data-related information as required by the PGA Institute Manager, PGA Finance Team and PRISMS. 
  • Work collaboratively with Education Agents in relation to students and commission payments.

What you need 

Qualifications and Experience 

  • Previous experience in the VET sector, particularly with regards to international students.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements relating to CRICOS and ASQA.
  • Advanced level of computer knowledge of Microsoft office computer programs.
  • Strong customer service and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Student Record Keeping Systems.
