UTS International is looking for a Student Advisor to be responsible for assisting with the administration of international scholarships for commencing and continuing students; providing reports on scholarship recipients and the timely processing of scholarship offers, scholarship acceptances and detailed record keeping of scholarship outcomes.
UTS International supports and implements the UTS International strategy and its broader mission of internationalisation. This involves achieving UTS targets for recruitment of international students; promoting student mobility; facilitating international relationship building; and provision of services to the university as a whole.

About the Role

As the successful candidate, you will;

• Shortlist scholarship applications for presentation to the scholarship committee
• Interpret the Conditions of Award for individual scholarships and applying it to the application ranking process
• Undertake analysis of the cohort of scholarship recipients to identify offer to acceptance rates
• Consolidate data from fee journals and student enrolment reports to check accuracy of recipients' details and scholarship payments
• Ensure a high level of customer service is provided to prospective students and their agents

With examples, please outline in a separate document how you meet the following five key selection criteria points:

• Ability to work within tight time constraints, to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
• Ability to follow procedures with high degree of accuracy and attention to details
• Competence in using Microsoft Office and other database software
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team
• Experience with working in admission and enrolment systems and processes as they relate to international students in a university environment

Remuneration

Base Salary Range: $73,217 to $83,760 pa (HEW 5)

This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.

This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a fixed term basis for 15 months, covering a parental leave.
