Your new company

My client is an established Structural Consulting Engineering practice with offices throughout the South Island. They have a diverse portfolio of projects that cover all facets of structural design. My client provides innovative and imaginative design to even the most ordinary projects. They work across a range of sectors, including commercial, residential, and industrial and have an excellent reputation in the New Zealand marketplace. Due to the increase of workload, they are now looking for experienced structural engineers to join team in Christchurch or Wanaka.

Your new role

Your role will vary depending on your level of experience but will see you involved with all aspects of structural design of high-end residential homes, heritage builds, temporary works and commercial buildings. This will include involvement from initial design to construction monitoring as well as liaising with architects, contractors and clients. Aside from new builds, this company conduct seismic assessments and strengthening work.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelors degree in civil engineering
• At least 1 year of experience in a New Zealand consultancy
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong technical ability
• Exceptional planning and organisational skills
• Previous experience working on strengthening projects
