MDHB are looking for a Stroke Physician to join our team of experienced health professionals with a focus on the delivery of high quality specialist care to the growing population across the Midcentral Region.
We want to recruit a Stroke Physician who will work with us in developing responsive ways of meeting the needs of our growing population and develop models of care across the region. We are happy to consider applicants who would want a General Medicine or Geriatrician Stroke mix to the position.

To be eligible for this position you must either be registered (or eligible) with the Medical Council of New Zealand and have a specialist qualification in Internal Medicine that is recognised by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians as suitable for Vocational Registration in New Zealand.
About the Hospital
MidCentral District Health Board employs more than 2500 staff at Manawatu, Palmerston North, Tararua and Horowhenua and Otaki districts.
Palmerston North Hospital is a 350 bed secondary hospital, which services an urban population of 88,000 and a total population catchment of 186,000. In addition, the hospital is a teaching hospital, and is associated with both Auckland and Otago medical schools
