Position: Sr. Staging Electrics and Light Operator
Location: CTV Agincourt – 9 Channel Nine Court
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week. Overtime as required
Responsibilities:
We require an exceptionally qualified Sr. Stage and Electrics and Lighting Operator to oversee the lighting requirements at our Agincourt facility.
Responsibilities will include:
Ability to set up new “lighting looks†and “lighting scenes†for Bell Media productions and external clients
Communicate with Agincourt production teams in creating these designs to their specifications
Daily operation of lighting and dimming consoles in various studios for live and pre-recorded material
Maintenance of lighting equipment, materials and dimmer rooms
Ensure all existing lighting plots are maintained i.e.: bulb replacement, diffusion, gels etc
Assist with Staging requirements where necessary
May be required to liaise with Bell Media affiliates across the country
Qualifications:
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a broadcast environment
Thorough knowledge of video signals and levels in an HD environment
Knowledge of lighting consoles, dimmers, fixtures and their applications
Knowledge of technical specifications, waveform and vector scopes
Above average knowledge of studio lighting fixtures, newer LED technologies and their applications
Successful candidate will be a proven team player who possesses strong problem solving skills and can work well in a team environment
Ability to be a motivated self-starter who is able to work unsupervised while creating and setting up various lighting applications in a fast paced, live, multi studio facility
Position requires demonstrated computer literacy
Knowledge of WYSIWYG or comparable lighting design tool is an asset
College level television diploma or equivalent education
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
