What is the opportunity?

The Identity and Access Management Business Analysis Team deliver multiple enterprise-wide solutions and services to improve the security posture of RBC and ensure adherence to standards and policies while we support various line of business projects and initiatives.  As Senior Business Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for working with the various stakeholders to document requirements supporting new complex information systems or modifications to existing systems through analysis of business and user needs.  This role will facilitate collaborative sessions with large and diverse business stakeholder groups to drive requirements discovery, analysis, and review.

What will you do?

• Provide estimations and work allocation for releases that they are leading and/or working on
• Perform requirements stakeholder analysis to identify impacted or influencing groups and stakeholder requirements responsibilities
• Define business analysis approach including tasks and deliverables based on project and delivery methodology
• Lead requirements prioritization and leverage techniques to drive out business priorities
• Define and develop detailed business requirements while identifying, tracking, and resolving business systems issues
• Assess, research, analyze and document sponsor/stakeholder needs in accordance with Project Life Cycle utilizing reporting tools, requirements gathering methodologies, process models, data models and prototypes
• Coach and mentor other BA analysts in the team and be proactive in learning and teaching
• Recommend business solutions that satisfy sponsor/stakeholder needs continually exploring and assessing options for value-add for clients

What do you need to succeed?
Must have: 

• 5+ years of work experience as a business systems analyst
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills
• Advanced facilitation and presentation skills
• Advanced ability to resolve minor conflicts/issues using different tactics prior to escalation
• Demonstrated ability in the following methods: interviewing, data modeling, business process modeling, business object modeling, and user interface

Nice-to-have

• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Project Management Institute Professional in Business Analysis Certification (PMI-PBA) – Preferred.
• Experience in medium to large development projects or maintenance projects.
