Job Description

How you'll make an impact:

You'll be part of a friendly and dynamic team that supports our customers in the development of life changing drugs & vaccines. In this role, you will be responsible for achieving the day-to-day activities of purchasing, manufacturing support and the receipting, picking and dispatch functions of all product types and implementing and maintaining warehouse controls to ensure a smooth and effective operation.

 Key Responsibilities:

Compliance / Documentation

  • Ensure that all tasks are performed safely following established processes, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and follow applicable Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) principles
  • Support stock takes as required.
  • Participate in the writing and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ensure warehouse processes are communicated and followed.

 Storage Control:

  • Packing of manufactured product
  • Printing of packaging labels as required
  • Completion of logbooks as required

Inwards and Outwards:

  • Packing, shipping and document completion for outward shipments.
  • Unloading, inspecting and receipting of inwards shipments
  • Storage of items in warehouse or freezers or delivery to applicable department.

 Other Duties:

  • Share your ideas for practical process improvement and use PPI and continuous improvement methodologies in daily work to advance quality, enhance customer allegiance and improve productivity.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy workplace by adhering to policies and procedures and reporting hazards to ensure a safe and healthy workplace environment.
  • Perform other related duties as required and/or assigned to contribute to the efficient operation of the team and business

 Working Conditions:

  • Required to lift 20kg.
  • May be required to stand for long periods of time while performing duties, must be able to work safely with chemicals and hazardous materials and work in a cold environment (including freezers and chillers).
  • Must be able to work overtime and to be flexible around hours of work.

 How will you get here?

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Logistics and/or warehouse experience
  • Fork-hoist and reach truck license and full driver’s license with F endorsement.
  • Data entry skills and experience in the use of the Internet, e-mail applications, inventory management systems, Microsoft Word and Excel

 Skills & Attributes:

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all work practices
  • Proactive and solutions- and right first time-focused
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised and take the initiative within a team environment
  • Ability to maintain cooperative work relationships
  • Ability to coordinate the work flow of other team members in the warehouse
