Job Description
The successful candidate will bring to the practice the following attributes and skills:
- Experience as a Medical or Specialist Receptionist
- Computer literacy and administrative skills such as Word Processing and using Microsoft Office (knowledge of Clinic to Cloud medical software will be an advantage)
- Able to multitask and prioritize, with firm attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Someone who is independent and displays initiative, yet, can integrate and work well in a team environment
- Professional phone manner and communication
- Excellent customer service and rapport
- Outstanding Interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work autonomously and be extremely organised.
- A sharp, professional appearance and attitude
- Able to travel between multiple practices within Brisbane
- Knowledge of billing, Medicare, DVA, Work Cover and Health funds
- Immunisation & COVID-19 Screening and evidence required
Your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Answering the telephone, including responding to patient enquiries
- Scheduling appointments for new and existing patients
- Ad-hoc administrative duties
- Data entry of patient information into Medical Software (Clinic to Cloud)
- Issuing invoices and receipts
- Liaise with referring Dentists/Doctors, Hospital staff and Medical Representatives
- Supporting other staff with day to day administration of the practice
- Dental assisting may be required (no experience required training will be provided)
- Working closely with surgeons ensuring smooth running of the clinic and care for patients
- Providing patients with surgical estimates, booking procedures and coordinating post-op appointments
This position is for 5 days a week, Monday to Friday. Location is Brisbane CBD and at our second practice (Everton Park).
