 The successful candidate will report to the Senior Manager, Base Pricing & Offers and will work closely with the BRS Product, Marketing and Loyalty teams. This is an excellent opportunity for a person with strong strategic, marketing and analytical skills, looking to work in a dynamic, challenging and fast-paced environment.

 The Specialist, Base Pricing & Offer Strategy will be responsible for assessing the market, operational metrics and financial data and to make pricing & offer recommendations across the BRS portfolio of services. These activities include the core pricing of various BRS products and services, including the launch of new products & services, working closely with the BRS Loyalty team on various customer retention programs and developing upsell offers to drive higher revenues within the subscriber base. The proposed pricing and offer strategies should be focused on enabling the continued competitiveness of BRS products & services in the market to drive the achievement of both subscriber and financial targets. In this role, it is critical that the successful candidate be able to work cross-functionally to drive decision-making and execution across the organization.

 Job Duties/Accountabilities: 

  • Responsible for assessing the pricing strategy for various customer segments to maximize BRS competitiveness and success in the market
  • Work with the Base Marketing and Loyalty teams to identify pricing/offer needs and develop practical recommendations that reflect both market needs and financial constraints
  • Gain executive and cross-functional alignment for pricing and offer recommendations
  • Work closely with execution team members to document pricing/offer requirements for communication to IT, operations and other cross-functional teams
  • Support various strategic analyses and deep dives to help assess and articulate key trends, evaluate the success of current offer strategies and provide insight into options moving forward
  • Work with the finance and forecasting teams to document pricing & offer related business cases and financial impacts

 Critical Qualifications/Competencies:

  • University degree in business, marketing or a related area; MBA or professional designation is an asset
  • 3+ years of progressively advancing experience in a strategic consulting, consumer marketing or similar role
  • Telecom experience is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to build compelling presentations and to deliver recommendations with confidence
  • Strategic and analytical thinking skills, including the ability to quantify and assess customer data and financial results
  • Strong ability to work cross-functionally and influence decision-making
  • Self-starter, with the ability to work with limited supervision and to manage multiple projects in an organized manner
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications – PowerPoint & Excel
