Following the expansion of Northland DHB's Theatre Suite, we have exciting opportunities for experienced Anaesthetists to join the team. This is a specialist/ consultant position and we have a full-time role available.

Whangārei Hospital is the largest hospital in Northland providing secondary care services, supported by three regional hospitals in Kaitaia; Kawakawa, and Dargaville. Northland covers an area of 12,600 square kilometres with a growing population of more than 190,000. It boasts some of the most scenic and exciting coastal areas of New Zealand in a subtropical climate.

Our Anaesthetic Department is the largest department within the Surgical Service at NDHB, providing a 24 hour, 7 days per week service to Whangārei Hospital as well as oversight to specialist anaesthetists employed at Kaitaia Hospital.

We are looking for motivated clinicians to provide effective and high quality anaesthetic services to the Northland community. Ideally you will be a confident communicator to participate in teaching and training resident medical staff. You will also be actively involved in the consultant on call roster.
