Your role 

Interact with different stakeholders to understand business needs 

Collaborate with technical teams (developers, business analysts, solutions architects, domain architects, etc.) and challenge proposed technology concepts 

Influence the Bank’s architecture decisions and directions 

Oversee implementation of end-to-end solutions 

Diagnose problem situations and help solve complex issues 

Consider the Bank’s architecture and cybersecurity principles in various architecture projects

Design synchronous and asynchronous solution architectures in a cloud database and API context

Design data models that meet the requirements of our products

Help prepare various cost assessments

Ensure that the logical design of databases meets requirements, including security, data volume, frequency, and long-term data growth for the Employee Experience sector 

Create a variety of data architecture documents in collaboration with various project teams

Work with enterprise architects to evaluate technology solutions

Follow up on technological issues with the project manager and propose mitigation measures

Help define the target architecture and delivery roadmap

Serve as a professional resource in the field of activity

Play an influential role with the business lines based on new opportunities provided by technology

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5-10 years of relevant experience

Experience as a java developer, essential

Experience in project delivery as an architect, an asset 

Communication skills (leadership, influence and able to convey information in simple terms ) 

Able to communicate effectively in English and French

Excellent ability to explain technical information in layman’s terms

Preferred competencies 

In-depth understanding of the following technology and solution concepts related to a modern ecosystem: domain architecture, microservices, APIs, streaming, cloud technologies, real-time data flow, CQRS, orchestration, straight-through processing, event-driven architecture, access security, elasticity, PaaS, cloud, DevOps, etc. 

Proficiency in a variety of databases (NoSQL, relational, graph, etc.)
