Responsibilities

You will be leading a team that builds and maintain backend cloud services that power Windows native experiences by collaborating closely with client & many teams forging partnerships within & across divisions. 

As part of the team, you will have responsibilities to maintain and improve our services in production by proactively monitor, react to customer issues, perform investigations, implement mitigations and deployments to guarantee that we operate a healthy system.  

We are looking for a leader with a passion for mentorship and team building, customer focus and engineering fundamentals, coupled with technical leadership experience in driving high-scale services.

Qualifications

Skills & Qualifications:  

- A strong passion to create high scalable cloud services, with a proven ability to use data-driven approaches and experimentation to increase quality 

- A proven ability to develop and lead collaborative teams of exceptional engineers. 

- Experience with Scrum, Kanban, or other agile engineering techniques 

- Partnership, communication, and coordination skills 

Experience Required  

- 1 or more years of engineering management experience or similar tech lead role 

- 5 or more years of backend design and coding experience in high scale services or components used in them 

- Experience with people management and team leadership 

Experience Preferred 

- Microsoft Azure cloud technologies
