We power Microsoft’s first-party real-time conversation products, notably Skype and Teams with many millions of users, by providing reliable and high-quality audio and video calling, meetings, and chat services that work every time, from anywhere, on any device. And we expose our core capabilities to third-party partners, with which they can bring conversations to life in their own products. With IC3, we will enable customers to do more by making conversations on our platform more intelligent, surfacing useful information in real-time and taking actions on the customers’ behalf during the conversation. Building and running services at scale for Microsoft 365 for hundreds of million consumer and enterprise users is very challenging, but it is a lot of fun and rewarding. Responsibilities

As a member of our team, you will work on performance analysis of real time video technologies and innovations used in Teams products to provide the optimal experience to our users no matter which device they use. This position gives you a unique opportunity of working on state-of-the-art hardware and software video solutions for Windows and Mac, as well as collaborating with several other key communication technologies.

It will also give you the opportunity to have a cross company impact on the hardware ecosystem. You will be working with a set of very smart people, including world-class experts in video processing and pipeline, to deliver cutting edge solutions in the VoIP communications space.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

- 1+ years of development experience in Windows or Apple on performance area (CPU, memory or power)

- 3+ design and coding with C++ v17 - Proficient in development, debugging and profiling in Windows environment

- Solid knowledge of system fundamentals in areas like threading, memory allocation or graphics.

- BS/MS degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or a related discipline

- Competent in design and development as part large scale products, and familiar with Agile development methodologies

Preferred Qualifications:

- Knowledge of Video graphics in Windows (DirectX) or Mac (AV Foundation) are a plus.

- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
