The Componentization and Server team is a customer-obsessed group of engineers dedicated to componentizing and layering the OS and making Windows Server a powerful and flexible foundation for workloads on the Edge, in Azure, and in Containers.  We work with customers and across teams within Microsoft, our partners and in open-source to ensure that Windows Server has a complete end-to-end experiences for our Server customers.  With an increase in supply-chain attacks, securing Windows Server Containers and making them provably complaint is more important than ever.

Responsibilities

• Oversee our delivery of Server Containers to ensure security and compliance as part of our customers’ supply chain
• Analyze and debug customer issues on Windows Server and open source technologies
• Design, implement, and stabilize high-quality features to facilitate customer adoption of Server and Server Containers
• Maintain close technical relationship with partner teams, provide technical leadership and be a mentor for junior members of the team.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications  

• A BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of software development/design experience.
• 2 years strong coding skills in C/C++/C#

Preferred Qualifications  

• Fantastic problem solving, debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with operating systems and/or containers
• Experience with cloud technologies and distributed systems
• Solid communication and collaboration skills
• Great at dealing with ambiguity
