We are the Azure Data teams part of the C+AI Azure organization. Azure Data teams present interesting challenges in technologies such as big-data, cloud, storage and open-source. We build reliable, highly scalable and highly performing distributed systems for data analytics on Azure. We work with various open-source technologies like Hadoop, Yarn, etc., and make contributions to these technologies. We are creating a planetary scale storage system, which can scale to Exabyte of data (yes, that’s 18+ digits!). Azure services is building next generation globally distributed, elastic scale, multi-model cloud database services. It is designed to enable developers to build planet-scale applications. Azure Purview China team has openings ranging from entry to Senior. We are seeking top talents with passion for big data, data discovery and data governance. You are expected to learn all kinds of industrial data stores, e.g. mongodb, salesforce, etc. and build a huge set of metadata connector to retrieve metadata and classification from those stores in an extensible approach. You will learn cutting edge big data services, like Atlas, Spark, lineage and search engine. You will have opportunities to reach out to customers to understand / solve a real customer pain points.

Responsibilities

We are looking for experienced software engineers who can design and implement large scale cloud service independently. You need to be able to understand the feature requirements from customer, work with program manager to define the desire experience and best design to full fill that. Also, you need to have strong coding capability to quickly turn the design into high quality code which had good test coverage and great performance. Azure Data Catalog is a service in Azure so you need to also had good devops skillset and debug skill set.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• BS or MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Solid in software design and development and fluent in one of the major languages: C++/Java/C#, 3+ years’ experience is a must.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
• With technical passion and terrific problem-solving skills to drive for result and impact.
• Having a proven experience in design and implementing high scalable/available/reliable distributed service/system.
• Having a proven experience in releasing enterprise software/service.
• Having a deep Java experience will be a plus.
• Having experience with building services using ElasticSearch will be a plus.
• Having experience in devops will be plus.
• The ability to fully understand problem spaces and independently drive areas forward
