Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript)
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing strategic projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field
•  3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization
• 3 years of experience in mobile device application development
• Experience managing teams distributed across time zones
  
• Experience working with a team of developers to build out mobile apps

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of developers to build out user experiences in the Home app on mobile phone and non-phone surfaces
• Participate in sprints with cross-functional teams, ensuring features are delivered efficiently and on time
• Contribute code to the Android Home app and related front-end server
• Collaborate with partner teams who build device software and backend servers to design APIs and build integrations
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, collaborating with product managers, UX designers, and release managers
