A note on Assignment Type: This position is currently listed as "Hybrid", however, the consultant will be remote due to COVID-19 related Work from Home (WFH) direction. Once the IT cluster staff are required to return to the office, the resource under this request will be required to work onsite as well.
Description
The ETL Developer has a software engineering background and experience in database development.
The ETL Developer will work on creating a process to Extract, Transform and Load the data requirements for the Data Exchange Readiness and Implementation stream of the PBF project. They will:
- Outline the ETL process, setting the borders of data processing
- Provide system architecture for each element and the whole data pipeline
- Document the requirements of the system and manage its development
- Take part in the actual development/implementation of ETL tools
- Conduct testing of the tools and data pipelines

RESPONSIBILITIES
Resource will be assigned to work on creating a pipeline for the data requirements of the PBF project.
Will work on:
- ETL, process management
- ETL tools development
- Data modeling
- Refining Data warehouse architecture
- ETL testing
- Validate requirements
- Build data models
- Build, test and migrate reports
- Provide knowledge training to OPS resources that will maintain the solution post go-live
Skills
Experience and Skill Set Requirements
Financial System Implementation Expertise 20%
- Understanding of data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) concepts and processes in an SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) environment.
- Demonstrated experience with SQL scripting skills. Demonstrated experience with Multi-Dimensional eXpressions (MDX) Query skills
- Experience with Azure Data Warehouse Factory
- Experience with building data models optimized for business intelligence and analytics functions
- Experience with data integration, data cleansing, data modelling and analytics
- Skilled in software development lifecycle and can apply in understanding, building and maintaining custom solutions
Financial System Support Expertise 20%
- Experience with developing and managing Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) for financial systems
- Experience in providing and documenting impact assessment for application changes, upgrades and patches;
- Experience in eliciting, documenting and validating business requirements;
- Experience in Software Testing, Quality Assurance and Documentation;
- Experience in data management, financial and business analysis, architecture and data modeling
- Experience in technical guidance on Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting products and components.
Financial Knowledge 10%
- Experience with building financial reports and analytics products
- Experience with public sector financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes and related reporting
Change Management, Training and Transition 10%
- Demonstrated experience with Data reconciliation
- Experience in training, transition and change management activities
