II. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist the technical lead in the design and implementation of control software for robotics, testing, and inspectiontooling

Implement modifications to existing control system software

Develop software for visualization, analysis, data acquisition

Prepare technical documents, specifications and reports

Perform design, assembly, testing, operation and maintenance of control systems for mock-ups, tools and equipment

Evaluate components, software, and/or systems and provide recommendations to the design team

Participate in field implementation of tooling projects (may include overseas sites and duration ranging from a few daysto several weeks at a time)

Occasionally work with equipment containing high voltages

Occasionally perform duties in a radiation environment

III. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Capability to perform tasks with minimal supervision and to take ownership of the assigned tasks

Experience with troubleshooting PLC-based automated equipment

Experience with programming languages such as Visual Basic, Python, or C is an asset

Experience with Siemens Step 7 PLC software is an asset

Experience with National Instruments LabView software is an asset

Must show proven initiative and be self-motivated

Must be effective in a multi-discipline team environment

Must be able to work to tight deadlines and financial controls

Proven written and oral communication skills

Field experience in an industrial or nuclear plant is an asset

IV. QUALIFICATIONS

Technologist Diploma or equivalent relevant work experience

Minimum three years of experience with PLC software design (IEC 61131 standard), maintenance and configuration management

Security Clearance must be obtained and maintained as a condition of employment
