Responsibilities

As a Microsoft ACE Cloud Solution Architect, you will: 

Be an  opportunity owner and expert for our SMC EMEA market set of accounts.

• Serving as "Subject Matter Expert" in the identified territory to dive the workload specific value with the field sellers and their management.
• Architect deployable solutions that meet customer needs, ensuring technical viability of new projects and successful deployments, while orchestrating key resources and infusing key Infrastructure technologies (e.g. Windows and Linux IaaS, Security, Networking, etc.)
• Apply technical knowledge and customer insights to create a migration and modernization roadmap with customers using the Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF). 

Be the interface to the customer and orchestrate a virtual teams of resources to solve customer blockers and problems.

• Collaborate with other Cloud Solution Architects and Microsoft stakeholders in developing complex end-to-end Enterprise solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. Ensure all solutions leverage the design and operations guidance according to the Well-Architected framework across all pillars, including performance efficiency, security, operational excellence, reliability, and cost optimization
• Run Architectural Design Sessions to build plan for implementing solution –governing design in line with customer business goals and their technical environment.  Outcome is consensus on solution design and next steps toward production. Use CAF Landing Zones to rapidly prototype and deliver proof-of-concepts that accelerate production deployment
• Orchestrate complex solutions with internal and external partners for multiple Microsoft products and services

• Identify customer business challenges and support account teams to build Total Cost of Ownership & Return on Investment plans 

Be the interface to corporate teams (e.g. FastTrack for Azure, Product Teams, Marketing, GBB and CAT) to share customer and sales insights.

• Develop deep relationships with key customer IT decision makers, who drive long-term cloud adoption within their company to enable them to be cloud advocates. Be the Voice of the Customer; Share insights and best practices, and connect with Engineering teams to remove blockers
• Shape current and future products and marketing strategies through feedback to sales, marketing, and engineering.

• Participate in Microsoft technical communities and in the broader industry through events, blogs, whitepapers, training, and articles for your domain.

Qualifications

Professional:  

• 7-10+ years of technology-related sales, pre-sales or consulting experience. Deep expertise on SAP Netweaver platform required. Sales and negotiation experience, technical architect, technical consulting, design and implementation, technical sales experience, or related work or internship experience OR equivalent experience.  

Technical:  

• SAP: Ability to deliver quick POC/landscape sizing and demos using SAP Netweaver platform. 10+ years in presales SAP ERP Systems to large Enterprise customers.  Installation of SAP systems based on SAP NetWeaver for all supported database and operating system combinations.  Installation, integration and configuration of SAP HANA, S/4 HANA, SAP Business Suite and SAP BW
• Relevant certifications from Microsoft of competitive platforms of similar product (e.g., AZ104 + AZ 303/304/ or 305, DP 203/204) OR equivalent certifications (AWS, GCP). 

Education:  

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field AND sales and negotiation experience, technical architect, technical consulting, design and implementation, technical sales experience, or related work or internship experience 
• Fluency in English is essential
