This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Lower North regional KaiÄrahi team, a new role recently introduced as part of the Government's Strengthening the Family Court Initiative. The aim of the KaiÄrahi role is to aid improved experiences for parents and whanau involved with Family Justice services. This includes the utilisation and uptake of Family Legal Aid Services, Family Dispute Resolution Services, Parenting Through Separation and with preparation and services in the Family Court.
The Service Manager's primary focus is to coach and support KaiÄrahi to increase capability and build a culture of high performance. The role is responsible for overseeing the delivery of services to improve operational quality and consistency across a regional team and as part of a wider National team.
As a visible role within the community, KaiÄrahi will actively engage and collaborate with service providers, community groups, agencies, and local Iwi, to ensure accurate information is being communicated to families and the court where applicable, as well as understanding the availability and suitability of their services and resources. KaiÄrahi will also educate these groups, as well as parents and whanau, on the Ministry's services and processes, community services, and work with participants and the court to facilitate access to justice.
This is not your standard 9-5 role, and from time to time you will need to be able to work weekends and outside normal work hours, to meet the needs of our communities. Travel across your region will also be required to ensure all KaiÄrahi across your region are receiving support.

To be successful in this role you will have strong influencing and relationship management skills, along with proven leadership and coaching experience. Your experience working with community groups and a wide range of socio-economic family situations is important to successfully implementing this new service, influencing the use of services and advice, and assisting parents and whanau in accessing the Family Court.
We are looking for a leader who reflects the community we are serving and who can effectively assist TÄhÅ« o te Ture in honouring our commitment to MÄori. An understanding of te reo MÄori, MÄori perspectives, Te Tiriti, mÄtauranga MÄori and best practice engagement with MÄori and Pasifika communities is crucial to this role.
A full driver's licence is also required.

Salary Range: The appointing salary for this role will be between $84,633 and $110,105 based on skills and experience.
