Our user experience designers help to communicate our design intent in a way that delights yet informs our users to create intuitive interfaces.
As a member of our team, you’ll work within an agile environment and iterative process, collaborating with interdisciplinary team members and stakeholders to analyze, design and convey your design vision. A natural problem solver, communicator and facilitator, you’ll be involved in every step of the process from idea generation to implementation.
Along with full-time opportunities, if you are looking for flexibly, we are open to hiring you as a contractor on a 12-month basis that can be extended to 24-months.
What you would work on
- Act as the interaction design subject-matter expert for your product design team
- Facilitate design critique, evaluate interactions for inclusivity and provide expert advice and guidance to cross-functional teams
- Design artifacts of high complexity to communicate task flows, touchpoints, behaviours, and the exchange of information
- Create complex low-fidelity sketches, wireframes, and prototypes to explore, communicate, and validate ideas.
- Create complex prototypes to provide delivery specifications for development
- Participate and facilitate usability testing and initiate research activities
What you need to succeed
- BA/BS degree in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), HCI, CS, or a related field or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a user experience designer
- Portfolio that includes case studies where you walk through the problem you were solving and the process you used to come to a solution
- Solid knowledge of design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator)
- Understanding of responsive design
- Experience working with developers, project managers and contributing to the launch of a digital product within an agile environment
