Job Description
What is the opportunity?
The Retail Credit and Payment Systems team is looking for a Senior Technical Systems Analyst to join our support and resiliency team, helping bring them into the future. You will have the responsibility to ensure that our development and pre-production environment are working as desired while partnering closely with internal development teams. You will be involved in technical analysis, solution implementation, root cause determination and process improvement for the pre-production environment. The preferred candidate would have experience with technologies like WMB/IIB, MQ, PCF and OpenShift. Additional experience with Elastic, zO/S and ODM is also desired.
What will you do?
Analyze, troubleshoot and debug problems in continuously growing integrated environment (e.g. IBM-WMB/IIB/ACE, IBM-ODM, PCF, Openshift, Mainframe, Hadoop, DB2, SCON)
Execute root cause analyses and implement remediation actions
Design, code and document application changes related to migrations or problem solutions in IBM-WMB/IIB/ACE environment
Perform unit test, system and integration test
Support application compatibility testing.
Serve as a contact point for all environment support related requests and manage/prioritize the backlog of environment support requests
Design, implement and document SRE related changes (e.g. Automations scripts, deployment Pipelines).
Occasional off-hours support
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
7+ years of experience in an application development or application maintenance role
Experience/Understanding with different design techniques/tools (e.g. OO. Top-down, structured analysis, component-based design) specially Middleware technologies - MQSeries, WMB/IIB/ACE (as well as Cloud technologies (PCF, Spring, OpenShift), IBM ODM Operational Decision Manager)
Worked with different programming language experience (e.g. ESQL,JCL, Java, C, XML, UML, JSON)
Knowledge of REST, JDBC, JCA (Java Connector Architecture)
Experience with AIX, Linux and Windows; Hadoop, SCON, DB/2 client/server & SQL Experience and/or Knowledge
Experience/Understanding of Automated Build/Deploy process through Jenkins/UCD and familiar with the DevOps / Agile/ Site Reliability Engineering
Nice-to-have
Knowledge of distributed systems and micro services
Experience in support/ maintenance Work and the ITIL framework
Knowledge of Search, Analytics and Machine Learning Tools (e.g., Elastic)
Use of QA automation tools
University/College Graduate, preferably graduate in computer science, finance, mathematics or physical sciences
