Being a Solutions Architect for the Commercial Banking group means being in charge of assessments, technical specifications, developing the solution architecture, validating compliance with enterprise architecture and explaining technical issues to clients. It also means being responsible for IT solutions for the Commercial Banking digital channel ecosystem.

Your role:

Influence the Bank’s decisions and strategic orientations by implementing IT solutions that optimize the quality of assets and promote the reuse of services

Interact with the different stakeholders to understand business needs relating to the assets of the Commercial Banking ecosystem

Take part in creating solutions architecture documents in collaboration with various project teams

Assist delivery teams to ensure ongoing alignment with the initially planned architecture

Define the detailed architecture and transition strategies towards the Bank's architecture targets and technological orientations

Create, challenge, or contribute to architecture and development as well as any other related tasks, as required, to ensure solutions delivery

Intervene and advise in processes for integrating third-party solutions or selecting partners.

Influence squads to steer deliveries toward architecture targets while being sure to deliver business value

Bachelor's degree or academic equivalent in a related field and at least 7 years of relevant experience

AWS Cloud Architect certification, an asset

Experience as a solutions architect in a complex organization that uses legacy systems

Experience writing architecture documents (preliminary and detailed)

Experience in Agile/Scrum/Kanban/Iterative project delivery

Strong ability to produce operable architectures that address both the actual needs of the business sector and the orientations of the company 

Sound knowledge of best practices in integration, security, governance, networking and data

Thorough understanding of the concepts, technology and solutions related to a modern ecosystem and how they apply to financial solutions: domain architecture, microservices, REST, API, streaming, Cloud technologies, real-time dataflow, access security, PaaS, Cloud, DevOps, HTML5, JS, CSS, WAS, JAVA, React Native, React and OpenShift (Kubernetes)

Leadership, strong initiative taking into account time constraints and ability to use business language

Bilingualism, spoken and written (English and French)
