The OneDrive & SharePoint Experiences organization is building a brand new platform for enabling “ultimate” Progressive Web Applications that will make web applications faster, resilient to transient service issues, and enable a full offline experience with 2-way synchronization. As part of this team, you will explore novel web application architectures and push the envelope on what modern web applications can do. You’ll leverage a wide range of technologies including service workers and web caching technologies, React and JavaScript, browser extensions, native code in C++, HTTP protocols and security mechanisms, SQL databases and synchronization algorithms. If that sounds interesting to you, we are at the early stages of an ambitious roadmap and now is a great time to join an ambitious project in an important space.

Responsibilities

We are looking for smart, agile, and intellectually curious engineers who love creating and building web application platform technologies that power customer facing scenarios across Office365 and beyond. You will be working with a team of amazing engineers, PM and designers, and work closely with our partners across Microsoft to deliver â€œultimate” progressive web applications to meet customer needs. 

Qualifications

• Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of industry programming, software development, and/or software engineering experience

• BS or MS in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent 
•  
• Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in developing, debugging and maintaining code in object oriented languages and database querying languages 
• Strong coding, debugging, algorithm design and problem solving skills
• Great communication skills to collaborate cross-group and work effectively within the team  
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and prioritize issues

• Experience with React, JavaScript, Service Workers, PWAs, C++, and SQLite are all major pluses
