Windows Admin Center has grown to become the single graphical management plane, and primary User Experience for anyone servicing or managing Windows Servers and clusters. Since its release in 2018 it has grown to having hundreds of thousands of users managing millions of servers and clusters around the world. Being an agile, web-based application gives the team the flexibility to deliver on a faster cadence that drives customer experience at a pace that surprises many teams, allowing us to reach out to our customers and react to them and their needs faster than ever before. We partner with innumerous teams inside Microsoft and across Azure on projects that vary from deploying new experiences for existing capabilities to completely reimagining how cluster deployment and maintenance is executed. Windows Admin Center is the glue that brings experiences and capabilities together to drive a better product and customer experience all around.

 

This role will be a senior position that influences our entire product stack, while having a primary focus on the core infrastructure and services, so experience with .Net and C# will be key to your success.

Responsibilities

  • Design and Develop secure, testable and maintainable code
  • Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Integrate solutions from partners to deliver unique solutions
  • Collaborate with partners to design new systems and management capabilities
  • Improve existing development processes or infrastructure
  • Diagnose, identify, and resolve issues that arise in customer environments and deployments
  • Coach and mentor junior engineers to promote growth

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, related field or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • 3+ years of experience on cloud technologies
  • 4+ years of experience writing code in C# or equivalent language


Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Solid design, development, and testing skills
  • Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: C#, Java, Python, Go
  • A strong problem solver. We expect you to own scenarios end-to-end across multiple components
  • Be comfortable moving up / down the stack and writing code in both managed and native languages
  • Exposure or experience with cross-platform programming (Windows and Linux)
  • Experience designing and delivering cloud-native solutions
  • Experience working with high level frameworks like Angular or React

 

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:


• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
