On the Observability Pipeline platform team, we build high scale services that ingest, transform, and deliver low latency, high scale telemetry data. Our team builds the platform which brings low latency telemetry to Microsoft engineers as well as Azure customers around the world.

We are looking to hire engineers for the Observability Platform team who care deeply about the availability, resiliency, latency, scalability, and COGs of the service we are running.

Our team builds:

• Massive scale services that handle peta bytes of data from millions of machines and devices.
• Builds services that offers functionality such as Obfuscation, Enrichments, Data export
• Offers a rich extensibility model for data consumption.

Responsibilities

• Building and maintaining high scale services.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership: architecture, design, code reviews, development, quality assurance, observability, and live site.
• Enjoys the challenge of pushing big data in low latency and COGs efficient manner.
• Build strong relationships with partners within Microsoft to bring innovation to new and existing products.
• Be a mentor to junior developers in your team and help them grow.
• Foster a culture of inclusivity and disciplined software engineering practices to deliver business value, guided by data.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• BS/BA in computer science, or equivalent in related technical experience.
• 5+ years of industry experience developing enterprise-grade software.

Preferred Qualification

• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, AWS or similar cloud computing platforms.
• Experience creating, developing, delivering, deploying, maintaining online services.
• Prior experience working on C# or building applications on Service Fabric.
• Hands on experience building and maintaining REST microservices.
