The Storage and File Systems team is part of the Azure Edge + Platform Core OS Base team. We deliver storage solution for Windows, Azure, IoT and new devices that Microsoft and our industry partners ship in the future. This area involves tough challenges and provides tremendous upside opportunities including leveraging the reduced size, portability and increased functionality of new storage devices, improved software platform infrastructure, emerging protocol standards, seamless integration of local and cloud storage and development of solutions to new content usage paradigms.

Responsibilities

On this team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining storage virtualization components to support the Windows platform across client, server, and cloud systems.  You will design and implement features, write tests and validation tools, and partner closely with other teams within Microsoft to deliver first-class performance, availability, and reliability for storage on Windows.  These features can range from improving storage resiliency in Azure, to innovating on a new tiering model for improving performance in Windows Server, to delivering end-user focused virtualization features for Windows Client.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience developing software in C/C++
• 2+ years of kernel and device driver experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of Windows driver experience
• Experience with block storage subsystems
