We're seeking great cloud service engineers who love finding clean solutions to hard problems and tackling scale and distributed systems problems, people with automation-first mindset. You will help advance one of the largest services on Azure, scale it to billions of events per second, build new innovative real-time services, and automate their life-cycle through our world-class infrastructure.  

Microsoft Software Engineering is finally coming to Warsaw - we are the first engineering team in Microsoft Poland - help us build a great team! 

Responsibilities

We're looking for engineers for our Warsaw team, with focus on:  

• Building core infrastructure and backend services for the product 
• Drive key architecture decisions and overall direction of the product 
• Find bottlenecks in our DevOps process and improve them through smart automation 
• Design and implement fully automated deployment and operation strategy for world-scale cloud service spanning dozens of data centers and tens of thousands of VMs 

• Adjust our services and processes to obey the latest and greatest security and privacy standard 
• Collaborate with other engineering teams within the product (London, Redmond) and across Microsoft.  

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related technical discipline 

• Relevant professional backend development experience 
• Strong engineering skills: creating high quality design, code and tests 
• Effective verbal and written communication 
• History of delivering high quality production systems/services 
• Experience with large-scale software engineering 

  

Preferred Qualifications 

• Application development and deployment experience with cloud services (e.g. AWS, Azure) 
• DevOps and automation mindset and skills 
• Highly effective leadership and communication 

• Experience with data, analytics, and related technologies 
• Experience in C# and PowerShell 
• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS or related fields
• Do you have relevant experience of software engineering experience?
• Do you have relevant experience of building cloud or large-scale applications?
• Do you have Batchelor's degree or higher in Computer Science?
