Senior Software Engineer - Contract – DAL, ATL or DC

Our Client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in DAL, ATL or DC.

Role Description

We are looking for a senior full stack engineer to join our Programming and Creator tools team. We enable artists and curators to create audio experiences that help them connect with listeners. This specific position will help us enhance our tools backend, frontend (known as AMP - Artists Marketing Platform), and mobile platform.

• Design and write code to support highly scalable tools and services

• Ability to help define features with product and design

• Mentor junior engineers on engineering best practices.

• Write automated unit and integration tests

• Deploy services into the various environments

• Pair with other team members when necessary

• Good public speaking and presentation skills.

• Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

• Ability to pay attention to details and be organized.

• Ability to project professionalism over the phone and in person.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Commitment to “internal client” and customer service principles.

• Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.

• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Skills & Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing Java services

• You have a passion for writing automated tests

• You have experience with SQL databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL

• You have experience with modern FE frameworks, and component architecture

• You have experience developing for Linux-based deployment platforms
